Here are our current areas of needs:
Provisions/restocking
We are in need of a group of people who will be on our restocking email list. One to two times a month we will send out an email with what is needed to restock our hospitality area and office areas of the facility. We will send out the snacks and drinks we are in need of and any office supplies or facility items (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.) we need.
Immediate needs
We are in need of a group of people who will be on our immediate needs email list. As we form relationships with clients there will be times when we notice a need that is outside of our typical realm of services but we feel led to fill this need. A couple examples of this would be helping a client pay an electric bill, helping a client move out of her current housing and into a new house, providing a specific piece of furniture. etc.
Client Advocate
We are in need of men and women who feel called by the Lord to lead client sessions. This typically looks like listening to them well, leading them through our life skills program and advocating for them. There is an extensive application process and video training involved in this volunteer position along with a weekly commitment to one of our shifts and commitment to attending in person training one evening a month.
Child care volunteer
We are in need of people ages 18 and over (If interested and younger than 18 years of age there may still be an opportunity for you) to work in our childcare room. During a client session a client may bring their children with them. Our goal is to have a safe and educational environment for their children to play while their parents are in their session. In order to serve in our childcare room a volunteer must complete the application process and committee to volunteer for a shift weekly or bi-weekly and come to our once a month in person evening training.
Cleaning crew
We are in need of a group of people who would like to be placed on a monthly or bi-monthly (depending on how many people are in the group) group who would come and do deep cleaning at our facility. This cleaning would entail sweeping and mopping floors, deep cleaning bathrooms, dusting and window cleaning along with wiping down all of our toys in the childcare room (this will be done on individual toys after each childcare session also but we would like all the toys cleaned once a month).
Prayer team
We are in need individuals who feel led to prayer for this ministry on a weekly basis. This can look like being on a weekly email list and/or coming into prayer for us in our prayer womb during operating hours.
