If you think you might be pregnant and are considering an abortion, it is very important to do three things before making a decision.
- Confirm you are pregnant and that the pregnancy is viable. This can be done by taking a urine test but is best confirmed through an ultrasound.
- Confirm the gestational age of your pregnancy. This can be done through an ultrasound. This is important so that you can know how far along you are in pregnancy which will direct you through what your options are.
- Get STI testing. This is important because having an abortion with an active STI can be incredibly dangerous to your health.
